A series of professional training and explainer videos
for a global medical products brand
Client: Owens & Minor Halyard
Creative Agency: Comith
Service: Full video production
Partners: Moxy Post Production
Project Overview
Halyard, a global producer of medical products, needed a series of training and explainer videos for use by healthcare professionals.
The videos had to be technically precise — Halyard provided a detailed script and had one of their own product specialists on screen as presenter.
Our job was to create a clean, professional production environment that would support the content without getting in the way of it, and to deliver the recordings with the consistency and quality a B2B training series demands.
The Challenge
The biggest technical challenge was finding a single lighting setup that worked equally well for two very different camera positions — a frontal wide shot of the presenter and an overhead close-up of the product handling on the table.
Both angles needed to look clean and consistent, and switching between setups mid-shoot wasn't an option if we wanted to keep the production moving efficiently.
Beyond the camera work, every recording had to be checked against a detailed technical script. With medical training content, accuracy isn't optional — there was no room for loose phrasing or missed steps in the product handling.
The full series would ultimately be delivered in English with subtitle versions in multiple languages, and post production would need to incorporate supporting graphics into each video.
Getting the recordings right on the day was essential.
Our Approach
We kept the set design intentionally minimal — a white table placed inside our studio infinity cove.
This gave us the clean, seamless environment the content required, while also being a smart production choice: the cove's naturally even surfaces made it straightforward to achieve a uniform light that worked cleanly for both the frontal wide shot and the overhead detail camera simultaneously.
During the pre-light day, we positioned both cameras and dialed in the lighting so that by the time the client and agency arrived, everything was ready to shoot.
A lavalier microphone connected directly to the main camera ensured clean, consistent audio throughout the series — no room sound, no surprises in post.
On-Set Experience
By the time the agency and client arrived on shoot day, the set was fully lit, both cameras were framed and ready, and all that remained was to start recording.
That level of preparation made an immediate impression and set a confident tone for the day.
The full series was completed well within the scheduled time, which gave us the opportunity to review each recording together with the client before moving on to the next sequence.
For technically detailed content like this, that on-set review process is invaluable — it meant everyone left the studio knowing exactly what had been captured and approved, with no uncertainty heading into post production.

The Results
The project resulted in a series of 6 training and explainer videos, each produced in 3 language versions — a total of 18 final deliverables.
The videos are used by Halyard for B2B training of healthcare professionals across multiple markets.
Post production and subtitle integration was handled in collaboration with our partner Moxy Post Production.
