# Studio Ballena --- ## Home URL: https://www.studioballena.com/ ** Tabletop Photography & Motion-Control Film ** ** Studio Ballena is a Belgian tabletop studio creating high-end product photography and cinematic films where light, movement and detail come together to reveal what makes a product truly stand out. ** ** Where products become moments ** A drop falls. A surface breaks. Light slides across texture. These are moments you don’t see with the naked eye, but you feel them instantly. At Studio Ballena, we build those moments frame by frame. Part photography studio, part film set, part experimental playground. A place where liquids are guided, materials are tested, and movement is designed as carefully as light. Some projects ask for precision. Others invite exploration. Most require both. From clean, controlled packshots to rich, cinematic sequences, every visual is crafted to highlight what makes a product worth noticing. We work with brands, agencies and production companies to create visuals for: campaigns packaging social content online broadcast Always with the same focus: clarity, quality and impact. ** Craft in every detail ** From the first sketch to the final frame, every detail is shaped with intent. Image [9] Image [10] Image [11] Image [12] Image [13] ** Precision in motion ** Some shots need more than a camera. Our motion-control system allows us to choreograph movement with absolute precision. Camera, product and timing become part of the same composition. A pour can repeat perfectly. A splash can be refined. A movement can be explored until it feels just right. It’s not about technology for its own sake. It’s about control where it matters, and freedom where it counts. Studio_all [14] ** A place to build ideas ** Our studio in Belgium is designed for tabletop productions. A flexible space where sets can evolve, lighting can be sculpted and ideas can take shape. Behind every shoot is a network of stylists, technicians and collaborators who bring their own expertise into the process. Sometimes it’s a small, focused setup. Sometimes a full production. Always built around the same principle: make it work beautifully. ** Built around collaboration ** Every project starts with a conversation. From early concepts and test shoots to final production and delivery, we work closely with our clients to shape the right approach. We can step in for a specific shot or support a full production. Flexible where needed. Precise where it counts. ** Based in Belgium. Working across Europe. ** Studio Ballena collaborates with clients across the Benelux, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Based in Welle — centrally located between Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp — the studio works with advertising agencies, brand teams and production companies across Belgium and internationally, delivering photography, video and motion-controlled visuals for advertising campaigns, packaging, social and brand content. ** The person behind the studio ** Studio Ballena was founded by Bert Balcaen [1] , a photographer and director with over 15 years of experience in advertising and tabletop production — but his route into photography is less straightforward than most, and that background is a big part of what makes the studio work the way it does. Bert studied industrial product design and graphic industry management, which gave him an early grounding in both the manufacturing and visual side of commercial production. That translated into a career in the family business — a flexible packaging production company — where he spent more than a decade as plant manager. Running production at that level means understanding quality control, tight deadlines, technical precision and the reality of what it costs when things go wrong. Those aren't lessons you learn in a photography course, and they show up every day in how Studio Ballena is run. After 5 years working alongside a mentor in the photographic industry, Bert set up Studio Ballena in Welle about 15 years ago — making a deliberate move to building his own studio with a clear focus: high-end advertising photography and video for food, drinks and products. The background in packaging and graphic production turns out to be unusually relevant for this kind of work. Understanding FMCG brands, what a brand manager or agency creative director actually needs from an image — that's not just photographic intuition. It's industry knowledge. It means conversations with clients start from a different place, and briefs that might seem technically complex are often familiar territory. ** What Studio Ballena does ** The studio specialises in three interconnected areas of advertising visuals production. Photography and video production [2] is the core of what Studio Ballena does — from clean packshots and hero product images to full advertising campaigns with food styling, set building, and cinematic video. The studio handles the entire process from concept and pre-production through to final delivery, or works as a specialist production partner within agency or brand workflows. Motion control [3] and special effects is where Studio Ballena stands apart from most Belgian production studios. The studio operates Ernie, a CRX1440 robotic motion control system, alongside a suite of custom-built special effects rigs for triggering liquids, powders, ingredients and products with frame-accurate precision. This makes the studio particularly well-suited for splash shots, ingredient explosions, slow-motion pours, multi-pass compositing and repeatable camera choreography — the kind of work that demands engineering-level control as much as creative direction. Studio and equipment [4] — the 180m² studio in Welle is built specifically for tabletop photography and video production, with a 3m x 5m infinity wall, blackout capability for controlled lighting environments, multiple simultaneous set build zones, high-speed cameras for slow-motion work, Broncolor and ProFoto flash systems, an 8K RED cinema camera and EMBER slow motion camera for video, and a full complement of grip, rigging, props and surface textures. ** Who Studio Ballena works with ** The studio's client base spans advertising and design agencies, FMCG brand teams, food and beverage producers, packaging designers and production companies. Past and current clients include Neuhaus, Barry Callebaut, Guylian, Nestlé Health Science, Tupperware, BMW, Geometry Global, Absintt, Halyard, Kingspan and others across Belgium and internationally. Studio Ballena works in two modes depending on what a project needs: as a full-service production partner — handling creative development, production and post — or as a plug-in specialist that integrates into existing agency or production workflows for specific phases or capabilities, including motion control operation, tabletop direction, or studio and equipment provision. The studio and equipment are also available for rental, with or without crew, making it a practical option for directors, DOPs and production houses looking for a well-equipped tabletop studio in central Belgium. ** A studio built around the brief, not the other way around ** Studio Ballena doesn't operate as a generalist photography studio that occasionally shoots food. The focus on tabletop — food, drinks, products — is a deliberate and sustained one. That specialism matters because tabletop advertising production has its own technical language, its own timing challenges, its own demands around consistency and repeatability. Agencies and brands that bring complex briefs to Studio Ballena aren't starting from scratch with explanations. The studio understands how advertising shoots work, how agency workflows operate, what creative directors are trying to achieve, and what the production realities of a shoot day actually look like. That seriousness about craft doesn't mean the studio operates without a sense of play — quite the opposite. Some of the best results come from being willing to push past the safe, predictable version of a shot and see what happens when you try something that probably shouldn't work. The unexpected liquid arc, the ingredient explosion that lands better than anything in the brief, the lighting setup nobody had thought to try — those moments don't always happen by following the script too closely. There's a genuine belief at Studio Ballena that the best work gets made when the people on set are actually enjoying themselves. Not in spite of the technical complexity, but alongside it. Getting the engineering right, the timing precise, the motion control path perfectly calibrated — and then watching it all come together in a single frame or a five-second slow-motion clip — that's genuinely fun. It doesn't get old. So while client projects are treated with the full weight of professionalism they deserve, there's always room on set for curiosity, a bit of controlled chaos, and the kind of creative momentum that only happens when a team is pushing limits and having a good time doing it. Based in Belgium, working across borders Studio Ballena is located at Regentiestraat 145, B-9473 Welle (Aalst), approximately 30 minutes from Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp by car. The studio's central Belgian location makes it a practical base for productions drawing crew, stylists and clients from across the country, and equally accessible for international agencies and brand teams working in the Belgian market. That said, Studio Ballena is not a studio-only operation. Productions regularly take place on location — and the full capability of the studio travels with them. Ernie, the CRX1440 motion control robot, is compact enough to fit through standard doors and elevators, runs on a standard 230V supply, and is quite comfortable being packed up and taken on the road. The result is that the precision and repeatability of motion-controlled tabletop production isn't tied to one address. Whether the shoot is in a Brussels agency studio, a brand facility in Amsterdam, a production house in Paris or anywhere else across Europe, the same level of technical capability and creative control comes along for the ride. ** ****Work with Studio Ballena ** Whether you're an agency looking for a specialist tabletop production partner, a brand team planning a product campaign, or a production company in need of a well-equipped studio and motion control setup, Studio Ballena is straightforward to work with and built to adapt to your workflow. From cinema-grade 8K and high-speed slow-motion to 151MP medium-format stills and view-camera perspective control, the selection below covers most of what tabletop, product, advertising and editorial commercial work needs. Each camera ships in case with the accessories listed. Available standalone, with our lens or lighting systems, or as part of a wider studio + crew booking. RED V Raptor X with Z-mount rental ** The flagship 8K cinema camera in our line-up. RED's V-Raptor body paired with the global shutter from the KOMODO line and a native Nikon Z mount — meaning fast, accurate autofocus on Nikkor Z lenses, plus PL-mount cinema-lens compatibility through our Metabones Z-to-PL speedbooster. Global shutter is the headline feature: no rolling-shutter distortion on fast motion, no jello on whip pans, no skewed frames during a strobe burst. 17+ stops of dynamic range in standard modes, up to 20+ with Extended Highlights, and frame rates that scale from 8K full-frame at 120fps down to 2K at 600fps — useful when slow-motion needs to live inside a regular commercial shoot without changing camera bodies. Phantom Track function captures distinct R3D clips for each subframe slice — useful for virtual production workflows or live broadcast with dedicated ad overlays. Comes in a Peli case with the Ignite-Digi keystone camera cage, the Z-to-PL speedbooster adapter, and the Mutiny power and I/O module with V-mount battery plate and wall power adapter. Additional accessories can be added to the rental. A range of Nikkor Z mount and PL mount lenses is available alongside this body. See our lenses rental [1] for more information. Creative agency Absintt came to us with a brief for two distinct visual concepts — both rooted in the brand's sense of adventure, flavour and a certain playful quirkiness. Concept 1 called for an abstract, top-view composition built from the product and its ingredients — designed to work both as a single square image and as a split nine-grid post for Instagram. Concept 2 took a more narrative approach: a separate landscape image for each flavour, constructed from chocolate shapes and raw ingredients as a visual nod to the brand's travel storyline. *The Challenge* The nine-grid format for Concept 1 introduced a real compositional challenge. The full image had to work as a single cohesive composition, but every individual tile within it also needed to stand on its own — each one centred on a full or cut-open Macolat surrounded by its corresponding flavour ingredients. Getting that balance right meant the overall composition couldn't be designed freely; it had to be built around a strict underlying grid structure from the very start. For Concept 2, the challenge was constructing convincing landscape scenes entirely from edible materials. Shapes were formed from raw chocolate, yogurt, cocoa powder and other ingredients — everything had to be hand-crafted and look visually precise while still feeling organic and appetising. Both concepts required shooting a large number of individual elements separately, all of which would be brought together in composite post production. Screenshot%202026-02-06%20at%2012.45.49 [2] Screenshot%202026-02-06%20at%2013.19.00 [3] *Our Approach* Pre-production was the foundation of this project. With two conceptually very different briefs to execute and a large number of individual elements to shoot for composite assembly, thorough planning was essential before a single camera was picked up. Our full team worked through the brief together, building a detailed shot list for every element that would eventually be needed across all 7 final images. During the production phase, the food stylist prepared all ingredients and constructed the required shapes — caramel triangles, chocolate forms, powdered elements — while the best individual products were carefully selected for hero shots. We worked through the overall compositions first, then moved into detailed element shooting. Importantly, we began assembling rough composites during the shoot itself, which gave us a real-time view of which elements were working and flagged anything that still needed to be captured before we wrapped. Final compositing and retouching brought all the elements together into the polished, layered images the agency and client had briefed. *The Results* The final deliverables comprised 7 composite images across the two concepts — including the full nine-tile Instagram grid composition for Concept 1 and the individual flavour landscapes for Concept 2. A selection of the finished images is shown below. The gap between what you see on set and the finished image is where the real production work happens — and this project had a lot of it. They needed a full set of visual assets to cover the launch across multiple touchpoints — social media, their website, trade fair stand visuals and printed product information sheets. Unlike the two previous case studies on this page where a creative agency carried the concept, this was a direct client project where Studio Ballena was asked to develop the creative proposals from scratch. We worked up the initial concepts, refined them in close collaboration with Alusense based on their feedback, and moved into production once the direction was agreed. *The Challenge* Compostable packaging is a crowded visual space. The default creative approach — earthy tones, natural textures, kraft paper, muted palettes — has been done so many times that it barely registers anymore. Alusense's product deserved better than that, and frankly so did their launch. The real challenge was finding a way to communicate the compostable story without leaning on the visual language everyone else uses, while still making the product feel fresh, premium and shelf-worthy. The capsules themselves come in a strong range of vibrant colours, and that became the creative anchor. The question was how to build a visual style around that in a way that felt distinctive, graphical and modern — rather than generic sustainability marketing. Untitled_Artwork%203 [2] *Our Approach* The creative direction we developed put the colour of the capsules front and centre. Rather than softening the product with natural props and diffused light, we went the opposite way — a bold, graphical shooting style using hard light as the primary tool. Hard light suited the geometry and finish of the capsules well, and gave the images a clean, high-contrast look that stood apart from the earthy aesthetic typical of the category. Props were carefully selected and sourced during pre-production to complement the colour palette without competing with it — everything in the frame was in service of the capsule. With around 30 final images to deliver across a range of formats and use cases — from social crops to large-format trade fair prints — the shot list had to be planned carefully to ensure every intended application was covered before we wrapped. *The Results* The shoot delivered 30 final images across the full range of capsules and formats required for the launch — social media, web, trade fair and print. On top of the agreed deliverables, we also produced a series of GIF animations created from the stills, adding a layer of dynamic content to the package. Alusense hadn't asked for these, but we felt the imagery lent itself well to motion and put them together as an extra. The client put them to use immediately and was genuinely delighted with them. Alusense is a returning client, and this project continued the same pattern as previous work together — a smooth process from concept through pre-production and shoot day, and a result they were very happy with. The videos had to be technically precise — Halyard provided a detailed script and had one of their own product specialists on screen as presenter. Our job was to create a clean, professional production environment that would support the content without getting in the way of it, and to deliver the recordings with the consistency and quality a B2B training series demands. *The Challenge* The biggest technical challenge was finding a single lighting setup that worked equally well for two very different camera positions — a frontal wide shot of the presenter and an overhead close-up of the product handling on the table. Both angles needed to look clean and consistent, and switching between setups mid-shoot wasn't an option if we wanted to keep the production moving efficiently. Beyond the camera work, every recording had to be checked against a detailed technical script. With medical training content, accuracy isn't optional — there was no room for loose phrasing or missed steps in the product handling. The full series would ultimately be delivered in English with subtitle versions in multiple languages, and post production would need to incorporate supporting graphics into each video. Getting the recordings right on the day was essential. *Our Approach* We kept the set design intentionally minimal — a white table placed inside our studio infinity cove. This gave us the clean, seamless environment the content required, while also being a smart production choice: the cove's naturally even surfaces made it straightforward to achieve a uniform light that worked cleanly for both the frontal wide shot and the overhead detail camera simultaneously. During the pre-light day, we positioned both cameras and dialed in the lighting so that by the time the client and agency arrived, everything was ready to shoot. A lavalier microphone connected directly to the main camera ensured clean, consistent audio throughout the series — no room sound, no surprises in post. *On-Set Experience* By the time the agency and client arrived on shoot day, the set was fully lit, both cameras were framed and ready, and all that remained was to start recording. That level of preparation made an immediate impression and set a confident tone for the day. The full series was completed well within the scheduled time, which gave us the opportunity to review each recording together with the client before moving on to the next sequence. For technically detailed content like this, that on-set review process is invaluable — it meant everyone left the studio knowing exactly what had been captured and approved, with no uncertainty heading into post production. Wide%20shot [2] Close%20shot [3] Top%20shot [4] *The Results* The project resulted in a series of 6 training and explainer videos, each produced in 3 language versions — a total of 18 final deliverables. The videos are used by Halyard for B2B training of healthcare professionals across multiple markets. Post production and subtitle integration was handled in collaboration with our partner Moxy Post Production. Studio Ballena is a Belgian food, drink and product photography and video studio based in Welle, near Aalst. If something isn't answered here, just get in touch directly. ** About Studio Ballena ** Studio Ballena is a Belgian commercial photography and video studio founded in 2006 and based in Welle, near Aalst in East Flanders. We specialise in food, drink and product photography and video for advertising, marketing and e-commerce — working with brands directly and with creative and advertising agencies. Our studio is equipped for tabletop and packshot work, motion control, high-speed video and full food styling productions. Our studio is located at Regentiestraat 145, 9473 Welle, near Aalst in East Flanders, Belgium. The studio is easily accessible by road from Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp, with ample parking and direct truck access for large deliveries or set builds. We also shoot on location across Belgium and internationally when the brief requires it. Studio Ballena was founded by Bert Balcaen, who leads the studio as director of photography. For larger productions we work with a trusted core of freelance specialists — food stylists, prop stylists, set constructors, special effects artists and graphic artists — who we bring in depending on the needs of each project. Studio Ballena was founded in 2006, giving us twenty years of experience in commercial, advertising and product photography and video production. Yes, we work with both. A large part of our work comes through creative and advertising agencies who bring us in as their production partner for client shoots. We also work directly with brands who approach us without an agency — and in those cases we can take on creative concept development as part of the brief if needed. Either way, the production quality and approach are the same. Yes. While we're based in Belgium, we regularly work with international brands and agencies. Our studio is well-equipped to handle international productions and we have experience coordinating with clients and creative teams across different countries and time zones. We can also produce content in multiple languages — including multilingual video productions with subtitles or voiceover. ** Services & capabilities ** Our photography services cover food and drink photography, product and advertising photography, packshots and e-commerce imagery, and creative concept development for clients who need it. We shoot in our own studio and on location, and we offer full post production including compositing, retouching, colour correction and image adaptation for all formats and applications. We produce tabletop and studio-based video for food, drink and product — including advertising films, social media content, explainer videos and training video productions. We shoot with an 8K high-resolution camera and a 5K high-speed camera for slow motion footage. On top of standard video production we offer motion control using robotic camera systems, which allows for precisely repeatable camera moves that are essential for premium advertising content and composite shots. Motion control is a system where camera movement is precisely programmed and executed by a robotic arm or motorised rig. Unlike a camera operated by hand, a motion control system can repeat the exact same move frame-perfectly, which makes it essential for composite shots — where multiple elements need to be filmed separately and combined in post — and for creating fluid, highly polished camera moves in advertising footage. It's a technique most commonly associated with premium product and food advertising and gives productions a quality and precision that conventional camera operation can't match. Packshot photography focuses on clean, accurate representation of a product — typically on a white or neutral background — primarily for e-commerce, catalogues and product listings. The goal is clarity and consistency across a range of products. Advertising photography is more concept-driven: it's about creating an image that communicates a mood, a lifestyle or a brand story, and typically involves more styling, set design, lighting complexity and post production. Studio Ballena offers both, and many projects combine elements of each. Yes. Food photography is one of our core specialisations. We work with experienced food stylists who prepare and style dishes, ingredients and products for camera — ensuring everything looks its best under studio lighting conditions. Our food photography work covers advertising campaigns, social media content, packaging imagery and editorial-style food shoots for brands and agencies. Yes. Drinks and beverage photography is another of our main specialisations. This includes still beverage photography, in-hand and lifestyle context shots, product launches, and motion content such as pouring shots and slow motion footage. Beverage photography often benefits from motion control for complex composite shots — for example, combining a perfectly lit bottle with a liquid pour or condensation effect created separately. Yes. We offer product and packshot photography suited for e-commerce — clean, consistent imagery across product ranges, delivered in the correct formats and file specifications for your platform. For clients with a large number of SKUs we offer graduated pricing depending on volume. Yes. We offer 3D CGI creation and rendering as part of our production services — either as a standalone service or combined with photography, for example where a physical product shoot is supplemented with CGI environments or composite elements. Yes. We can create GIF animations and other lightweight motion content from still images — useful for social media and digital advertising where a static image isn't enough but a full video production isn't required. This is something we've done proactively for clients on top of their agreed deliverables, and the results have consistently been well-received and put to use immediately. Yes. We work with experienced set constructors and prop stylists and can create custom set designs and backdrops for a shoot depending on the brief and budget. Our studio infinity cove provides a ready-made clean white environment, but for concept-driven shoots that require a built environment we can create it from scratch. Yes. In addition to our studio in Welle, we shoot on location across Belgium and internationally. For food, drink and product work, location shoots typically mean professional, lifestyle and home environments — an office, a kitchen, a living space, a garden or terrace — or purpose-built sets that are dressed and styled to create exactly the right atmosphere for the brief. The goal is always an environment that feels authentic to the brand story rather than a generic backdrop. If you have a specific location in mind we can work with it, and if you need help finding the right space we offer a location scouting service — identifying and evaluating options that fit the visual direction, the mood of the shoot and the practical requirements of the production. ** Studio & facilities ** Our studio is 180m² with a ceiling height of almost 4 metres. The infinity cove is 8 metres wide and 3 metres deep, suitable for tabletop work through to larger set builds. Technical facilities include high-speed wifi, a wireless music system and air conditioning. There is ample parking outside and the studio has an industrial sectional door with a clear height of 3.6 metres for large deliveries and truck access. Yes. Our studio is available for rental to photographers, filmmakers and production companies. We also offer gear rental separately. Contact us for availability and rates. For photography we work with technical cameras, medium format and full frame digital systems. Lighting is primarily professional flash equipment, supplemented by LED where the project requires it. For video we use an 8K high-resolution camera and a 5K high-speed camera for slow motion. Video lighting uses powerful, high colour-fidelity LED systems that are flicker-free for high-speed recording. Post production is handled on high-performance workstations with a triple backup storage system. Yes, and we encourage it for most projects. Having the client or agency representative on set allows for real-time approval of setups and means everyone leaves the studio with full confidence in what's been captured. We ask only that you allow the team to work without interference once the cameras are rolling and the crew is in flow. You can ship products directly to our studio or drop them off in person — please let us know in advance either way. Choose your best, undamaged products and make sure they're well-packaged for transport. Any damage or imperfections that arrive with the products may result in additional retouching time or the need for replacements. We'll also let you know in advance if we need multiple units or any supporting elements. ** Process & workflow ** Every project starts with a conversation — either a call or a meeting — where we ask the questions we need to understand what you're looking for. We want to know the brief, the intended use of the images or video, the timeline and the budget parameters before we put a proposal together. Getting this right at the start saves time and avoids misalignment later. A typical project moves through these stages: briefing and creative concept development, pre-production (prop sourcing, product delivery, shot list planning), the shoot itself, post production (retouching, compositing, colour work or video editing), and final delivery of digital files in the required formats. For simpler projects some stages are condensed; for complex advertising productions there may be additional review and approval stages built in. We'll map this out clearly when we scope the project. When a client comes to us without an agency or an existing creative direction, we take on the concept development ourselves. We'll develop visual proposals based on the brief, your brand references and the intended application of the images, then refine the direction based on your feedback before moving into pre-production. This is a service we offer as part of a full production package — not as a standalone creative consultancy. We're used to both. Production schedules shift, briefs evolve and deadlines tighten — that's the reality of this industry. We stay in close contact throughout every project so that when something changes, we can respond quickly. We'll always be upfront if a change has implications for the timeline or budget. We invest time in the briefing and pre-production phases specifically to reduce the need for corrections after the shoot. When revisions are requested, we discuss what's involved, assess whether it can be handled in post production or requires a reshoot, and are transparent about any budget implications before we proceed. We always work toward a result you're genuinely satisfied with. ** Pricing & rights ** Contact us directly with as much information as you can — the type of photography or video, the product and how many, the style or visual references you have in mind, how many final images or videos you need, and what they'll be used for. The more context you give us, the more accurate the estimate. If the brief is complex or not yet fully defined, we can also start with a scoping call to work through the requirements together. The main variables are the type of photography or video, the number and complexity of the products, the number of final deliverables and their intended applications. Additional services — creative concept development, food or prop styling, set construction, location fees, motion control and post production complexity — all have a bearing on the budget. We provide a detailed quote based on your specific brief and are transparent about what is included and why. Yes. For packshot and product photography involving a large number of SKUs we work with graduated pricing depending on volume. Contact us for a concrete quote based on your product range. As a client, you receive a standard licence to use the images for your own commercial purposes. Copyright and ownership of the images remain with Studio Ballena unless there is a specific agreement to transfer those rights — which is possible but comes at a higher cost and is uncommon in practice. You may not pass images on to third parties or resell them. Full details are set out in our terms and conditions. We try to be flexible when circumstances change and ask that you notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 48 hours of a scheduled shoot may incur a cancellation fee, and any costs already committed to external suppliers or partners will be charged regardless of timing. Full details are in our terms and conditions. ** Delivery & files ** Files are delivered digitally via a download platform — we typically use Digital Pigeon. Download links are active for a limited period. If you need a new link after it has expired, just send us an email and we'll generate one. Yes. We deliver in whatever file formats and specifications your application requires — whether that's high-resolution print files, web-optimised images, social media crops or specific technical formats such as GS1 compliant imagery. We're experienced across all common use cases and can liaise directly with your printers, packaging suppliers or platform partners where that's useful. Turnaround time depends on the scope and complexity of post production. Straightforward shoots can turn around in a few days; more complex productions with compositing or video editing may take a few weeks. We agree on a realistic delivery timeline at the start of the project and communicate any changes along the way. Yes. We maintain a triple backup strategy with copies stored on-site, off-site and in the cloud. Our terms and conditions specify the guaranteed retention period. If you need files redelivered after some time has passed, contact us and we'll do what we can. We don't supply unedited RAW files or ungraded video. RAW files require specialist software to open and significant processing to reach a usable result — they are a starting point, not a finished product. The editing, retouching and colour work we apply is a core and inseparable part of what we deliver. Supplying RAW files edited by a third party would not represent our work and is not something we offer. ** Confidentiality & compliance ** Confidentiality is a standard part of how we operate. We regularly work with brands during the development and pre-launch phase of new products, and we handle all associated materials — documents, products, images — with appropriate discretion. This extends to the freelance partners we bring in for your project. If you need a formal non-disclosure agreement, we're happy to put one in place before work begins. Yes. We're experienced with the technical requirements for retail packaging imagery, including GS1 standards. If your images need to meet specific technical specifications for packaging, retail listings or print production, let us know at the briefing stage and we'll ensure the deliverables are compliant from the start. --- ## Food & drinks photography URL: https://www.studioballena.com/food-drinks-photography ** Food & drinks ** ** Tabletop photography and video for food and drink brands ** A pour rarely lands the same way twice. Bowens-mount, IP65-rated for outdoor and on-location work, and controllable via DMX, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net, sACN Ethernet, Bluetooth or the Sidus Link / Sidus Link Pro apps — slots into any existing lighting workflow without rewiring. That's a lot of logistics for a Belgian, Dutch or French shoot. Ernie is our Camerabotics CRX1440 — a robot small and light enough to fit through standard doors and most elevators, runnable from a normal 230V outlet, and on the road inside an hour. Frame-accurate precision (0.04mm), repeatable camera moves, and our trained motion control operator on every shoot. That last part isn't optional. Motion control precision depends on the operator as much as the rig — so Bert & Ernie come as a pair. The decision isn't whether you get the operator, it's whether the shoot happens at our studio in Welle (about 30 minutes from Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp) or on your set, anywhere across Europe. * Ernie pairs with our full set of special-effects rigs — droppers, launchers, liquid drips, conveyors, turntables, launch tables — when the work calls for synchronised motion of products, liquids, powders or ingredients. *• Key Features:* * • 1440 mm reach, 11 kg payload, 3 m/s speed, and 0.04 mm precision. • The compact size allows Ernie to be easily transported and used on location. Atmosphere. The surface the product sits on. The shadow it casts. Advertising product photography is the slow, careful version of the work — hero images for campaigns, packaging, editorial, and brand libraries that need to last a few years rather than a season. Lit with intent. Composed for impact. The set, the lighting and the texture earn their place in the frame alongside the product. The work below is selected from fifteen years of advertising tabletop projects, working with FMCG, drinks, industrial and consumer brands. Render farms will replace studios. Prompt engineers will replace photographers. Brands will save money. Schedules will compress. The whole craft will become a commodity. Some of that is happening. But the more interesting shift is happening at the other end. As generative AI gets better at producing plausible commercial imagery, certain brands — particularly food brands, drinks brands, and any brand built on the idea of authenticity — are quietly doubling down on real shoots. Not because they don't understand the technology. Because they understand their own positioning. This piece is about that shift. Where AI genuinely makes sense in commercial photography. Where it falls flat. And what it means for brands that have spent years telling their customers they care about real ingredients, real craftsmanship, real provenance. I'll be straight about my position upfront: I run a commercial photo and video studio. I have a financial interest in real shoots. But I'm not anti-AI — we use CGI and generative tools where they make sense, for shots that are physically impossible or where the cost-to-result ratio justifies it. What I'm against is the assumption that AI is the right answer by default. For a lot of advertising work — particularly anything that depends on the reader believing what they're looking at — it isn't. ** Where AI genuinely makes sense ** Let me start with where the case for AI is real. There are categories of commercial imagery where AI and CGI are not just acceptable — they're the better tool for the job. *Visualising products before they exist.* If a brand is launching a new range and needs hero imagery for the press kit before any sample is finished, generative tools can produce something visualising the design intent without a physical prototype. The brief isn't "show us the actual product" — it's "give us a visual of the concept." AI handles that fine. *Composite shots that would otherwise require impossible logistics.* A shot that needs the same product in five different environments, lit by five different golden hours, in five different cities, in a single composition. The pre-AI version of this required a small army of compositors. AI compresses that. Same outcome, smaller bill, no obvious downside. * Replacing things that no longer exist or never will. *Discontinued packaging that needs to appear in a campaign retrospective. A historical version of a product. A speculative future variant. The choice is often "AI render or no shot at all" — and AI is better than nothing. * High-volume catalogue imagery for products with no inherent visual interest.* Industrial parts, technical components, things where the buyer cares about specifications more than mood. AI can handle the visual side; the human time goes into accuracy. So far, so reasonable. None of this is controversial. The argument for AI in these categories holds up. The trouble starts when AI gets used outside of these categories. Specifically, when it gets used for the work where the reader needs to believe what they're looking at — and to believe the brand believes it too. **Where AI falls apart** Food is where this falls apart most obviously. There's a quality to AI-generated food imagery that's hard to describe in technical terms but immediately recognisable to None [1] anyone who actually shoots food for a living . The texture is wrong. The condensation behaves like a video-game render. The shadows under the ingredients are too clean, too mathematically correct. A real strawberry has imperfections, asymmetry, a dimpled surface that catches light in a slightly chaotic way. An AI strawberry looks like the platonic ideal of a strawberry — which means it looks like a plastic strawberry. This matters because food advertising sells appetite. The whole job of a food shot is to make the reader's mouth water. If something about the image registers as fake — even subliminally, even at the edge of conscious attention — the appetite signal misfires. The image still looks like food. It just doesn't make you hungry. Drinks have a similar problem. Real condensation on a glass of beer behaves in ways that AI models still struggle to fake convincingly. Real liquid arcs through the air with surface tension and momentum that the best generative tools approximate but don't replicate. A pour into a glass shot in real time, with a real cinematographer adjusting the timing on the day, has a quality that distinguishes itself from a generated version. Most viewers couldn't tell you why. They register it differently regardless. Corona%20bottle%20with%20lime_1600px [7] /Real condensation behaves like this. AI condensation doesn't./ And for shots that have to repeat — the same camera move, the same product position, the same timing across multiple takes — that's where motion control [2] earns its place. AI can produce one plausible frame; it struggles with the consistency a multi-pass campaign actually needs. The same applies to anything where the product is meant to be experienced — fragrance bottles, skincare textures, fabrics, materials [3] , anything that's selling the /feeling/ of having the thing rather than just its visual identity. AI can show what something looks like. It struggles to show what it feels like to have it. There's a more subtle issue too. AI imagery is becoming culturally identifiable. Younger audiences in particular have been trained over the last few years to spot generative imagery — and once they spot it, they categorise it. The image goes from being a piece of advertising to being a piece of AI content. The product positioning becomes secondary to the medium. That's not a brand-building move; it's the opposite. This isn't an argument that AI imagery is always obvious. The best generative work is genuinely impressive and the technology is improving fast. But the floor of "obvious AI" is moving slowly enough that for high-stakes advertising — work that has to land with audiences who are themselves becoming sophisticated AI-spotters — the risk of looking synthetic is real. And the cost of that risk, for the wrong brand, is significant. **Brand values can't afford the contradiction** There's a category of brand for which using AI imagery isn't just an aesthetic risk — it's a values contradiction. Any brand that markets itself on real ingredients, honest sourcing, traditional craftsmanship, family heritage, single-origin everything, slow production, hand-finished, artisanal, locally-grown, ethically-traded, or any of the dozens of words that have come to mean "we care about the realness of what we make." That brand cannot credibly run synthetic imagery for that real product. The contradiction is too obvious. Imagine a chocolatier whose entire positioning is "we still hand-temper our chocolate the way our grandfather did" running an AI-generated hero ad of their truffles. The advertising imagery is, by definition, /not/ hand-tempered. It's not even chocolate. It's a probability distribution. The brand spends years building credibility on real craftsmanship, and a single generative render undermines the whole story. affiche_1 [8] /Made by hand. Shot by hand. Hard to fake without the brand noticing./ This isn't theoretical. Most premium food and drinks brands sit in this category. So do most natural cosmetics brands, most artisan FMCG, most organic produce brands, most heritage-driven categories. These brands have spent decades — sometimes centuries — building the meaning of their words. /Real/ actually means something for them. Putting it next to /AI-generated/ is a brand-equity transaction with no upside. The smarter brands in these categories are starting to recognise this. The shift back to real shoots isn't about being anti-technology. It's about understanding that for a brand built on authenticity, the /medium of advertising/ has to be consistent with the /message of the brand/. You can't sell craft with un-crafted imagery and expect the message to land. Brand managers are starting to push back when their agencies propose AI hero work for products that depend on perceived realness. Production directors at agencies are starting to see this in briefs. The pendulum hasn't swung yet, but the leading edge of it is moving. **A working framework** A practical framework for deciding when to use real versus synthetic on a brief, in plain terms. *Use real when:* - The product or category depends on the viewer believing it's real (food, drinks, fragrance, materials, anything sensory). - The brand has built equity on authenticity, craft, heritage or honesty. - The audience is sophisticated enough to spot AI and category-aware enough to penalise it. - The hero imagery will be used in high-stakes contexts — TV, OOH, None [4] flagship campaigns — where the cost of looking fake outweighs production cost. *Use CGI or AI when:* - The shot is physically impossible or prohibitively expensive — impossible angles, products that don't exist yet, composites that would otherwise require huge logistical lifts. - The category is technical or industrial, and buyers care about specifications more than appetite. - The use is supporting — low-stakes social variants, internal decks, exploratory comp work, mood boards. - The brand has no equity invested in authenticity and the audience won't punish synthetic imagery. ** The point isn't that one is better than the other. The point is that the choice is a strategic one — and getting it wrong costs more than the production budget either way. ** IMG_8826 [9] /Real shooting isn't abstract. It's a controlled environment, real lights, real product, time taken to get the shot right./ ** What this means** The most interesting commercial photographers I know aren't worried about being replaced by AI. They're paying attention to which categories of work AI is taking over, which categories are quietly shifting back toward real, and what the long-term implications are for brands building on authenticity. For the right brands, this is a moment of opportunity. As more imagery gets generated, the work that's clearly /not/ generated becomes more visible by contrast. Real imagery — None [5] well-shot, properly art-directed , made with the same care the brand puts into the product itself — is going to become a brand-building tool in ways it hasn't been for years. If you're thinking about where the line should sit on your next campaign — what to shoot real, what to render, and what to do differently from your competitors — get in touch. We can talk through it. Why is it important? When you optimize your images, they take up less disk space, load faster, and use less bandwidth online. Beeldbewerking [5] CHOOSING THE RIGHT PHOTO FILE FORMAT FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES ** The most common image formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, and SVG, as well as the newer WebP. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. • JPEG: This is the most commonly used format for photos because it is highly efficient at compressing images while preserving detail. However, JPEGs do not support transparency or animation. • PNG: This is a lossless compression format, just like GIF, but unlike GIFs, there are no restrictions on the number of colors that can be used in an image; therefore, PNG files are not only larger than their GIF counterparts, but they also contain more information (they have higher fidelity). Due to their larger file size, we recommend using PNGs only if your work contains gradients or semi-transparent areas. • GIF: Like PNG files, these also support transparency; however, due to their limited color palette, they are best suited for simple animations that use only black and white. • SVG: Another point to consider is whether text needs to support transparency (or an “alpha channel”) in order to be readable; this is also known as “opacity.” If so, SVG could work well. • WebP is a relatively new image format developed by Google, specifically designed for use on the web. It combines the best features of JPEG and PNG and offers both lossless and lossy compression options. You can learn more about WebP in our blog post on WebP. File%20formats [6] FORMAT AND RESOLUTION ** When optimizing images for online use, it is important to consider both the file size and the resolution of your images. However, with the rise of high-resolution screens, such as Apple’s Retina displays, it is becoming increasingly important to use images with a higher resolution than the standard 72 PPI. If you're not sure what size or resolution to use for your images, here are a few tips: • Start with the recommended dimensions and resolution if you have been provided with them. • Use a higher resolution (144 PPI or higher) for images viewed on high-resolution screens. • Keep the file size as small as possible without compromising image quality. • Use image compression tools such as TinyPNG or JPEGmini to reduce the file size of your images without sacrificing too much quality. • Consider using responsive images—images that are optimized for different screen sizes. This can ensure that your images look good on all devices. low%20high%20quality [7] COMPRESSING YOUR IMAGES ** Lossless compression is a method in which all image data is preserved and can be restored. In contrast, lossy compression discards some of the image’s information so that it takes up less space. The ideal level of compression depends on the file format you’re using: JPEGs are better suited for photos than PNGs because they use lossy compression; GIFs handle large areas of solid color better than PNGs; WebP is the newest format and offers a great balance between smaller file sizes and quality preservation. shutterstock_148363571 [8] **A FEW SPECIFIC COMPARISONS** Below you will find some comparisons of quality and file size between different file formats, dimensions, resolutions, and compression tools. The photos have been enlarged 10x to highlight the differences in detail. Depending on the magnification and intended use, it may still be advisable not to make the photos smaller than 1000px. If a large number of photos are to be displayed on a website, such as an online store, it is important to also consider file size to ensure fast loading times. WebP is an ideal format, but unfortunately it is not yet supported by all platforms and web browsers. Here's what motion control actually is, what it changes for tabletop work, and where it's worth the setup time./ Motion control isn't new. It's been in feature film and high-end commercials for decades — the original Star Wars dogfights used it back in 1977. What's new is how often it shows up in tabletop work: the food, drinks and product side of advertising where the camera move is millimetres rather than metres. The rig itself hasn't changed much. The reason it matters in tabletop is that the camera path has to be precise to the millimetre, and the things happening in front of the camera — a pour, a splash, a product reveal — have to land on the same frame every time. ** What motion control actually is ** A robotic arm with the camera on the end of it, moving along a path that's been programmed in advance. The rig records the move and can replay it exactly — same speed, same height, same arc — for as many takes as the shoot needs. Our rig, a None [1] Camerabotics CRX1440 , has a 1,440 mm reach, takes an 11 kg payload, hits 3 m/s at peak and repeats positions to ±0.04 mm. The arm is compact enough to roll through standard doors and lifts, so it travels on location rather than living in one studio. **What changes when the camera moves the same way every time ** Three things. First, multi-pass composites become straightforward. One pass for the product, one for the splash, one for the lighting accent — all stacked on the exact same camera path in post, no rotoscoping the misalignment out. Second, the timing of effects locks to the camera position. When a None [2] drop falls or a liquid pours , the rig can trigger the effect at the same frame on every take, so the shot can be refined and re-shot identically until the lighting and the move and the moment of the splash all line up. Third, the shot can be planned. The director sees the move in pre-vis, the team builds the rigging around it, and the production day stops being a hunt for the take that just happens to work. **What we use it for** Mostly the shots where the move matters as much as the lighting: - Splash shots and timed liquid pours - Ingredient bursts, drops and arcs - Spinning, floating or rising product reveals - Stop-motion-style consistent-angle tracking - Multi-pass composites where every pass has to register The motion control rig usually doesn't work alone. It's paired with effects rigs — droppers, turntables, conveyor belts, launch tables, product rotators — that move the thing in front of the camera in sync with the camera move. The rig moves; the effects rig fires; our  None [3] 8K RED V Raptor or S5K Freefly Ember high-speed camera records. The whole thing runs as one choreography. **What it doesn't replace ** Motion control is a tool, not a magic wand. The rig is slower to set up than a handheld shot — the path has to be planned, the markers placed, the timing rehearsed. Not every shot benefits from it. A clean front-lit packshot doesn't need a robotic move. A spontaneous handheld feel will fight the rig the whole way. And the rig doesn't replace lighting, art direction, set design or the people running them. It replaces the manual operator on the moves that have to be precise. On the operator point: our rig always ships with one of our motion control operators. It's not gear we hand over and walk away from. The reason isn't policy — it's that running this rig well, particularly synced with effects rigs and high-speed capture, takes more setup judgement than a rental sheet can cover. **Where this fits ** We've leaned into motion control because it complements the kind of tabletop work we already do — food, drinks, product, the close-in advertising imagery where the difference between a good take and a great take is usually a few millimetres and a few frames. It's also part of the same argument as our recent piece on None [4] real footage versus AI-generated imagery — that controlled, repeatable, intentional craft is what makes advertising imagery feel deliberate at every frame. Different tools, same philosophy. If you're planning a project where motion control might be the right call, the page that covers how we work with it commercially is [/motion-control](/motion-control) — full-service production or specialist operator team, depending on how your project is set up. Photography is a powerful tool that can help your business present products or services in a way that appeals to your customers' emotions, making them more likely to connect with your company or brand and proceed to purchase. For example, the photo below that we created for Van Vuuren, specialist in high quality and complex turning and milling parts, clearly reflects their attention to quality. This will give (potential) customers confidence to place their complex projects with Van Vuuren. 20201204%20Van%20Vuuren%200006 [6] TELL A STORY AROUND YOUR PRODUCT WITH QUALITY PRODUCT PHOTOS ** Product photography is not just about capturing the image of the product. It is about creating a story around your product that appeals to the target audience. This is where emotions come into play. Emotions can be a powerful driver of consumer behavior, and product photography can be used to create an emotional connection with your target audience in a variety of ways. For example, we incorporated fresh ingredients into the image of student oats that we created for Chocolaterie Elise. By also using the right props, such as a wooden board and a copper pot, we emphasise the artisanal character of their products, which is precisely what appeals to their target group. Styling [7] FIRST, PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY CAN CREATE A SENSE OF DESIRE AND ASPIRATION IN THE CUSTOMER. ** By showing the product in a visually appealing and aspirational way, product photography can create a sense of desire in the minds of the target audience. For example, the telling advertising image below of the pâtes de fruit we created for Neuhaus will make your mouth water. A powerful composition, the use of the ingredients and portraying the whole thing in a refined and light-hearted way evokes desire in their customers. pa%CC%82te%20de%20fruits_N [8] SECOND, ADVERTISING PHOTOGRAPHY CAN EVOKE EMOTIONS RELATED TO THE VALUES OF THE BRAND OR THE BENEFITS OF THE PRODUCT. ** By displaying the product in the atmosphere or familiar environment that your target audience identifies with, you can build an emotional connection between your brand and target audience based on shared values and benefits. For example, we were commissioned by CRC, manufacturer of lubricants for the automotive sector, among others, to take a series of photos like the one below. For this, we searched for the appropriate location for our client CRC in our contacts. We then display the product in a workshop, where CRC products will be used, so their customers identify with this environment and application, which leads to more sales. 20200909%20CRC%200085 [9] THIRD, QUALITY PRODUCT PHOTOS CAN EVOKE A SENSE OF FAMILIARITY AND TRUST IN CUSTOMERS. ** Did you know that quality product photos not only capture the beauty of your product, but also instill a sense of trust in your (potential) customer? By showing what your product looks like in real life, you can reassure your customer that they are getting what they expect, which gives them extra confidence in your company, brand and products. Therefore, for Tupperware we created the below picture of multifunction mandolin. Here we show the product with all its features, different cutting blades that can be used as well as the construction of all individual components. This gives their customers a clear picture of what this product includes and also that because of the construction, which we bring into view through this "exploded view," it is easy to clean for example. These elements give their customers confidence in this Tupperware product and will encourage them to buy. 20181220%20Tupperware%20073 [10] CREATE A COHESIVE AND RECOGNISABLE BRAND IDENTITY ** Besides the emotional connection product photography can create with your target audience, it also plays an important role in branding your company. By using consistent product photography in all your advertising channels such as brochures, print, trade show materials, website, web shop, social channels Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,... you can create a cohesive and recognizable brand identity for your company. Consistency in product and None [1] packshot photography is crucial to establishing a recognizable brand identity. By using the same style, colors and props in all product photography, your customers can easily recognize your brand and products, even if they are not explicitly labeled. Similarly, we made a whole series of catalog packshots for Gyproc of all kinds of their products from small to large as you can see below. Here we attach particular importance to the conistence throughout the entire range of their products and that too spread over different shoot times. In this way, Gyproc's branding on their packaging and products as well as highlighting specific features gives a uniform identity to Gyproc products both in their catalog and online. This in turn creates recognition and confidence in the brand, which stimulates sales of their products. URL: https://www.studioballena.com/blog/tips-1/what-is-a-packshot-10 THE VALUE OF QUALITY PACKSHOTS ** Product photos, they can make or break your brand. Good packshot photography ensures that your photos encourage buying. Images that make your customer think, "I want that!" But what exactly are packshots? What can you use them for? Foto%201 [2] WHAT IS A PACKSHOT? ** A packshot is a photograph of a product and possibly the packaging or labels that go with it. Usually the packshot photographer uses a clean, white background for this. What is its purpose? The perfect packshot shows your product from head to toe. The right perspective, correct lighting and sophisticated styling go hand in hand to get your product optimally photographed. ** THE IMPORTANCE OF A PACKAGING PACKSHOT ** If you have a product that requires packaging, you have probably thought about and invested heavily in packaging that matches your brand identity. It is therefore logical that you also use this in your on- and offline communication about your product. Often your customer sees the packaging first, and only then the content. Use high-quality photos of the packaging in your advertisements, catalog, web shop and other channels. This recognition ensures that your customer knows what to look for. Foto%202 [3] 100% FOCUS ON YOUR PRODUCTS WITH QUALITY PACKSHOT PHOTOS ** Packshots should reflect your product itself and the packaging as truthfully as possible. They reflect the product exactly as it looks in real life. Therefore, there is little room for creative expressions (there are other forms of product photography for that, such as lifestyle images). With packshots, you must focus 100% on your product itself. The colors and shapes must be clear and accurate. Good packshots are therefore those images that succeed in grabbing your customer's full attention, convincing them of their added value. And that encourage customers to buy, of course. 5 POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS OF PACKSHOTS ** For what different purposes can you rely on packshot photography? These, among others: ·  Do you want to market a new product? Then you need to present your product as clearly as possible. ·  Did you ever start with self-taken footage? Then maybe it's time to go next level with good packshot photography. ·  People who need something often want to be able to buy it quickly, especially online. Do you want to promote your product through advertisements? Then it is therefore extra necessary for that impatient buyer to quickly see what you are offering. In all its facets. ·  Manual or instructional video. If you have a "difficult" product, it may be useful to use pack shots, among other things, to explain how to assemble or use the product. URL: https://www.studioballena.com/blog/tips-1/importance-of-good-product-photos-for-e-commerce-11 ** Foto%201 [4] ** Compare two web shops with the same product range. One has blurred, overexposed product photos. The other has sharp, nicely exposed photos from different angles. The latter will boost sales much more anyway. Quality product photos have a huge impact on the sales success of your webshop. Therefore, investing in good product photography for e-commerce is a must. But why is it so important right now? ** ATTRACT ATTENTION WITH GOOD PRODUCT PHOTOS AND ENTICE YOUR VISITOR ** In this day and age, the number of online shops is enormous. A first impression is therefore enormously important. Good product photos are a must for this. Professional photos create trust and will encourage the visitor to buy more quickly. Product photos are often the visitor's first introduction to the product. Therefore, good product photos are best to show multiple angles of the product. This makes it even more tangible. The more senses you can stimulate in the visitor, the faster he will be convinced to make a purchase. Are you selling delectable donuts? Then the product photography should make the visitor's mouth water. The more appealing the image, the better that first impression. ** A PICTURE SAYS SO MUCH AT A GLANCE ** When we want to buy something, we want to do it as quickly as possible. Search, scroll a bit, select, and click - into the shopping cart! The importance of good product photos is obvious: the fast surfer absorbs an image more easily than he can read the product description. The more that picture says, the faster the product will end up in the shopping cart. Good product photography for e-commerce allows your product to tell an entire story at a glance. Showing a product from different perspectives gives the buyer more information. And that, in turn, leads to fewer complaints and returns. More importantly, this therefore saves you money in the long run. Foto%202 [5] Looking for a product photography partner for e-commerce? Check out the None [1] portfolio of Studio Ballena and  None [2] contact  us for an offer. ** WHAT STORY DO YOU WANT YOUR BRAND TO TELL? DRAW THE LINE TO YOUR E-COMMERCE COMMUNICATION ** You tell a story with words as well as images. A good product photographer can make a product speak with beautiful images. Good product photos are of the highest quality and fit seamlessly with your brand identity. They should also appeal to the correct target group. With beautiful lighting and appropriate backgrounds, a focus on distinctive or telling details, the right post-processing and the expression of the story, you can entice visitors and - more importantly - convince them to make a purchase. Foto%203 [6] ** DEPLOY YOUR PROFESSIONAL PHOTO OFFLINE AS WELL ** Of course, good product photos can also be used on channels other than just a website. Think ads, social media, print, brochures, merchandising and other communications. Here, too, you want to emphasise the details and specifications of your product as much as possible. In short, good product photos are essential to spur a potential buyer into action, both online and offline.
